Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881–Sec. 142–Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 406–Non-obstante clause of Sec. 142 does not lend itself to the interpretation that Section 406 Cr.P.C. would stand excluded vis-a-vis offences u/s. 138 of the Act–Powers of Supreme Court to transfer pending criminal proceedings u/s. 406 does not stand abrogated thereby in respect of offences u/s. 138.
