Code of Civil Procedure, 1908–Order 8, Rule 1 & Order 6, Rule 17–Scope–After the amendment in plaint, the defendant gets right to file amended written statement and not to file the written statement–In the cases where no written statement has been filed, there arises no question of filing written statement in the guise to right of filing amended written statement.
