Probation of Offenders Act, 1958–Sec. 4–Penal Code, 1860–Sec. 498-A–Conviction–Sufficient evidence on record to show that the petitioners demanded the dowry of Rs. 10,000/- and committed cruelty when the demand was not fulfilled–Held, the conviction was justified–However, the incident took place in the year 1990 and petitioners have remained in custody for few days, they are extended the benefit of probation.
