Evidence Act, 1872–Secs. 65-A & 65-B–Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985–Secs. 8, 21, 22, 29 & 8(C)–Appellant sought the call details of the mobile numbers held by the officers who were alleged to have arrested the appellant–Purpose of proving them having in other location–These call details can be summoned in terms of Sec. 65 as these are relevant only to the extent of determining the location of concerned officers–However, the calling numbers and the numbers called from the said mobile phone should be blocked out while furnishing the information–Appeal allowed up to this extent.
