Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 154–Delay in lodging the FIR–When a close relative of any person is to provide the necessary treatment and if in that process, some time is consumed and the matter is not reported to the police but reported later on, it cannot be said that the delay in submitting the FIR is fatal.
