Code of Civil Procedure, 1908–Sec. 27–Summon of suit–Object of–
(i) to apprise the defendant about the filing of a case by the plaintiff against him,
(ii) to serve the defendant the copy of plaint filed against him, and
(iii) to inform him about actual day, date year, time and the particular Court so that he is able to appear in the Court fixed for his appearance in the said case and answer the suit either personally or through his lawyer.
