Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 167(2)–Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985–Sec. 36A(4)–General Clauses Act, 1897–Sec. 10–If the period of 180 days even if being completed on a holiday, it will not give leverage to the prosecution to file the charge-sheet on the next working day and take into account that the charge sheet has been filed within the prescribed period–Section 10 of the General Clauses Act will not have any application in such cases–Period of 180 days was expired on 21.03.2020–Neither the charge-sheet nor any application for extension of time for filing the chargesheet as per the mandate of Sec. 36A(4) of N.D.P.S. Act was filed till 21.03.2020–Petitioners are entitled to be released on bail.
