Penal Code, 1860–Secs. 498A, 406 & 34–Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 190(1)–Order of taking the cognizance–Sustainability–Appellant and respondent were married on 01.11.1996–After the appellant no. 1 left the matrimornal home, respondent no. 2 sought the divorce and it was granted on 04.04.2013–Thereafter, she filed the complaint against the appellants–Proceedings intiated by her under the provisions of DAV Act have been dismissed on merits and the order has attained finality–Fit case to exercise the powers under Art. 142–Proceedings stood quashed.
