Consumer Protection Act, 1986–Sec. 12–Consumer Claim–Scope for allowing–Claim of respondent that he invested Rs. five lakh in partnership firm which was repayable after 120 months with 18% annual interest–Once there was a registered partnership deed dated 27.05.1996, there is no further document placed on record by the complainant-respondent regarding dissolution of the said registered deed which continued till the time when the investment was made by him, the complainant would be deemed to be a partner of firm–Investment made by him would be an investment for profit/gain–It was a commercial transaction–Complainant was not maintainable–Impugned orders set aside and complainant dismissed.
