Evidence Act, 1872–Sec. 27–Scope–An information given by the accused to police officer u/s. 27 would be only admissible to the extent, it distinctly leads to the discovery of an incriminating fact–The remaining portion which is confessional in nature, would be discarded as it would be hit by the Secs. 25 & 26.
