Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989–Sec. 3(1)(x)–Allegation that the petitioners committed abuse like Bhangi, Neech, Bhikari, Mangani–Police filed the negative final report but the cognizance was taken on protest petition–It is crystal clear that the petitioners were not intending to humiliate the persons for the reason that they were members of Scheduled Castes and Schedule Tribes–Rather, the act of petitioners was in protest against the action of measurement being wrongly by the public servants–Charge qua the offence u/s. 3(1)(x) is liable to be quashed.
