Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967–Secs. 43D(2) & 2(1)(d)–National Investigation Agency Act, 2008–Sec. 22–Under the proviso to Sec. 43D(2), the Court has been given the powers to extend and authorise the detention of the accused beyond a period of 90 days as provided u/s. 167(2) Cr.P.C.–Provisions of Sec. 2 admit to the jurisdiction of a normal Criminal Court and also includes a Special Court constituted u/ss. 11 & 22 of NIA Act–Held, the Chief Judge cum City Sessions Court had the jurisdiction to pass the order.
