Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973–Sec. 125–Hindu Adoption & Maintenance Act, 1956–Sec. 20(3)–Claim of maintenance by a major daughter–Family Court has jurisdiction to decide a case under both provisions–In appropriate cases, it can grant maintenance to unmarried daughter even though she has become major, enforcing her right u/s. 20 of Act of 1956 so as to avoid multiplicity of proceedings–However, the Magistrate in exercise of powers u/s. 125 Cr.P.C. cannot pass such order.
